To clearly determine what you can do with a PR degree, it's essential to establish your goals and direction while still in school. Upon graduation, PR graduates can take on various roles, including:

​​PR Specialist: You will be responsible for positions such as managing media relations, community relations, organizing events, and handling internal communications at government agencies, private enterprises, international organizations, and non-governmental organizations…

Public Relations Analyst and Consultant: This role involves tasks such as assisting in analyzing and reporting on the internal and external media environment of an organization, supporting the development and implementation of communication strategies in business, enhancing human resource development, and building and promoting the brand. You may work for consulting firms specializing in corporate communication management, as well as government ministries and departments related to communication.

Specialized Lecturer: Lecturers in the field of Public Relations (PR) are involved in researching and teaching PR courses at higher education institutions. They participate in studies related to communication and public relations, serve as teaching assistants, and may eventually become researchers or senior lecturers.

Additionally, they can take on managerial roles in training and research related to communication and public relations.

To succeed in the field of Public Relations (PR), an individual should possess the following qualities:

  • Effective Communication Skills: The ability to convey messages clearly, persuasively, and efficiently is crucial. Additionally, a mindset geared towards innovation and the capacity to develop unique campaign ideas are essential.
  • Market Awareness: PR professionals must be adept at gathering and analyzing information, as well as understanding market trends, to make strategic decisions and maintain positive relationships with clients, the media, and stakeholders.
  • Crisis Management: The ability to handle difficult situations and crises swiftly and effectively is vital, along with a solid understanding of social media and its operational dynamics.
  • Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the relevant field, including market dynamics, competitors, and industry trends, is necessary. Moreover, the ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage with various stakeholders is important.

Students may even be recruited while still in school. Ho Chi Minh City International College partners with companies to facilitate recruitment during students' internships in their final year. As a result, the employment rate for graduates from ICH is 100%, allowing students to confidently pursue their studies in Public Relations (PR).

The teaching staff consists of highly qualified professionals. In addition to full-time lecturers who directly teach at the college, there is active participation from industry directors and department heads. This collaboration provides students with practical knowledge and enhances their job opportunities after graduation. Students have the chance to intern at companies during their first year and in subsequent years.

During their studies, students will participate in practical internship programs, observational training, and experiential visits to companies and corporations both domestically and internationally. This experience aims to foster comprehensive development in areas such as specialized knowledge, professional skills, foreign languages, information technology, soft skills, standard life attitudes, discipline, and lifelong health habits.

The study duration at the college is 2.5 years, with three semesters per year. The curriculum consists of 30% theory and 70% practice, helping students to alleviate examination pressure through various flexible formats. The college is committed to ensuring that graduates achieve a 100% employment rate.
