Automotive engineering technology is a promising field with strong development potential, not only in the present but also in the future. As a result, more and more individuals are pursuing studies and careers in this field. Let's examine the industry prospects and career opportunities available to those who graduate from the automotive technology industry with ICH.
Prospects of the Automotive Industry
With the continuous development of science and technology and social needs, automotive technology has become a key sector of the global economy. Specifically, this industry is increasingly showing great potential:
Despite economic fluctuations, the automotive industry continues to perform positively. While the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted many other industries, the automotive technology industry has made remarkable progress. It is known that this market is anticipated to have more positive and significant changes during the period 2021–2030. Regarding the region, Vietnam is the 4th largest automobile market in the ASEAN region, after Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia. According to the Vietnam Register, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam's car consumption in 2021 exceeded the 296,634 vehicles in 2020.

A significant demand for human resources: due to economic development and integration trends, the demand for purchasing means of transportation, especially cars, is increasing rapidly. Cars are becoming increasingly popular vehicles for many people. This reality leads to a growing demand for human resources in the future, especially high-quality ones.
High income: Employment opportunities in the automotive engineering technology field consistently offer students attractive salaries. With the ICH degrees combined with required language proficiency, students can study or work in many countries, such as the UK, USA, Germany, Japan, etc. Therefore, in order to gain the expected salary, students should cultivate knowledge, skills, and experience from their early school years.
After completing studies in automotive engineering technology at ICH, what career opportunities would students have?
The program at ICH will equip students with in-depth knowledge and skills in automotive mechanics—power machines, engines, controls, pneumatics, electrical systems, etc. This will enable students to apply basic engineering principles and high-level automotive practical skills to reality. The interesting aspect of this major is that a car consists of hundreds of thousands of machine parts that are assembled and connected, requiring multiple stages of completion. That is why this industry needs a lot of human resources. All of these will be the levers to create a competent workforce.
The Automotive Technology industry is responsible for tasks such as engine maintenance and repair; electrical equipment maintenance and repair; transmission system maintenance and repair (car chassis); diagnosing technical conditions and disease panels of car systems; operation and inspection of engines and cars; performance of auxiliary processing tasks such as electric welding, gas welding, bending, etc. This industry trains engineers with basic knowledge in mathematics, natural sciences, and basic engineering, meeting the requirements for specialized knowledge and equipping them with the ability to self-study to improve their professional skills.
At ICH, students will study 30% theory and 70% practice; thus, they will grasp the lecture content very effectively. In addition, the school commits to providing jobs for students right after graduation, so students do not have to worry about employment. Additionally, the school's affiliated units will support students timely during the practice sessions, internship period, and job finding after graduation.

Career opportunities in the automotive technology industry
The trend of electrification and automation is beneficial for students' future careers and direction. Here are the typical jobs:
-Automobile design engineer: designs and develops the process of vehicle components and parts.
Quality control engineer: conducts tests and evaluates product quality before launching into the market.
-Production engineer: manages the production process, optimizes the process, and improves product quality.
-Maintenance and repair technician: works at auto maintenance and repair centers, ensuring that vehicles operate well.
-Automotive technician: provides technical support, consults customers, and solves vehicle-related problems.
-Project manager: manages new product development projects, ensuring progress and quality.
-Research and development engineer: researches new technologies, product and manufacturing process improvements.
-Traffic safety engineer: researches and develops solutions to improve safety for vehicles and road users.

As a student in the Automotive Technology major at ICH, what benefits would a student get?
The admission condition of the major at ICH is graduating from high school. However, the school also establishes specific criteria to ensure the quality of students.
Specifically, the college trains students to be skilled workers, with a significant emphasis on practical learning. Hence, quick practice right after the first years will help students easily grasp all situations. This enables college graduates to obtain the necessary skills that employers require in the modern field. Study early, work quickly.
Most importantly, at ICH, like in other professions, 80% of the school's lecturers are businessmen with professional knowledge and practical experience. Therefore, students are well-trained and have solid professional capacity. This will enable lecturers to bring job opportunities to students, and students themselves will take opportunities to be the recruitment target of companies in the future.
