HANDS - ON EXPERIENCE IN TRADE MARKETING AT AEON BINH TAN

In an effort to provide students with practical learning experiences and enhance their ability to apply theory in real-world contexts, the International College of Ho Chi Minh City has organized a special training program to deepen students' understanding of Trade Marketing in modern retail channels. The program not only reinforces theoretical knowledge but also equips students with practical skills for their future careers.

On September 12, 2024, during a visit to the AEON Bình Tân supermarket, Mr. Lê Hồng Hà, a lecturer at the International College of Ho Chi Minh City and Deputy General Director of Tân Việt Sin Food Joint Stock Company, guided students on how to effectively apply their learning in studies, part-time jobs, and future careers through vivid and practical examples.

Program Details:

Understanding 5 Common Types of POSM:
Students received detailed guidance on various Point of Sale Materials (POSM), including P.O.P Displays, Shelf Talkers, Banners & Posters, Standees, and Digital Screens. They learned how to effectively utilize these promotional tools to optimize customer attention and interaction.

Exploring 7 Formats of Trade Marketing Activities:

The program reinforced knowledge of seven common trade marketing strategies, allowing students to experience key activities such as in-store promotions, sampling, event organization, and booth management. This understanding helps students grasp strategies to boost sales and build brand presence.

Effective Product Display:
Students were trained in methods for product display within modern retail environments, including shelf organization, diverse display techniques, and the use of POSM to enhance visibility and promote special offers. Trade Marketing not only provides in-depth knowledge but also creates an essential bridge between theory and practice, helping students develop practical skills, increase their competitiveness in the job market, and expand career opportunities in marketing.
